I was born in Michigan but we settled down in Valparaiso while I was in 5th grade. I graduated from Valparaiso High School a semester early and started my journey working with children!!
I started working as an assistant toddler teacher in a preschool as well as volunteering for many children’s programs. I have mostly worked with ages 1-6 years old but have experience with all ages! I have been working here at Valparaiso Montessori School for about 1 year and 4 months. I completed the Seton Montessori Institute Paraprofessional Course, and can’t wait to continue learning!
Working with children is the most fascinating and rewarding thing I have found. They have taught me so much including finding joy in the smallest of things. These children light up my day no matter what I am feeling, and never fail to leave me smiling at the end of the day. I hope to continue this dream of mine and have my own classroom someday!
Outside of school you will find me with my dog Athena, whom I adopted about 2 years ago. We enjoy going on walks, visiting the cows up the street, playing around the house, and spending time with friends! I also enjoy coloring, building legos, and going on any adventures I can find!
